Staff (HR)

Departments, employee records, and shift scheduling.

On this page

Staff (HR) is where your workforce is organized — separate from Team & Access Control, which governs who can log in and what they can see. HR is your employee records and scheduling; Team & Access Control is about system permissions. An employee record can optionally be linked to a login account.

1. Departments

Create departments (Front Desk, Housekeeping, F&B, Maintenance, Management, etc.) to group employees and shifts logically. Each department can have a head assigned, and appears as a filter throughout HR.

2. Employees

  1. Click New Employee, enter their name, contact details, role/title and department.
  2. Record their hire date, salary or pay rate, and any identification or contract details you keep on file.
  3. An employee's profile keeps a history of the shifts they've worked once scheduling is in use.

3. Shifts

Define the shift patterns your property runs — e.g. Morning (6am–2pm), Afternoon (2pm–10pm), Night (10pm–6am) — each with a name and time range. These are the building blocks the Shift Schedule assigns to employees.

4. Shift Schedule

A calendar view for assigning defined shifts to employees across the week or month:

  • Click a day/employee cell and assign one of your defined shifts.
  • Copy a week's schedule forward to save time on repeating rosters.
  • Spot gaps (unassigned shifts) or overlaps at a glance before publishing the schedule to staff.
